They say opposites attract, and that couldn’t be more true for Rohan and Mitali. Having grown up in different countries and lived in various cities, the two were completely unaware of each other's existence. Destiny, however, had other plans.
A Bombay-born and bred Mitali was living and working in London. Gym classes, healthy meals, British summers and "please fix" filled her days. Little did she know that across the Atlantic, in the peaceful town of Potomac, Maryland was her soulmate, Rohan.
A proud ex-New Yorker, geek and junk food lover - video games, anime, metal music, constant business travel and unshakeable love for the Miami Dolphins consumed his time.
Their story was about to take an unexpected turn, and neither one could have ever imagined the remarkable journey that awaited them.
Indian matchmaking max: profiles were exchanged. While Mitali initially refused to speak to a boy with long hair, fate and her father intervened, and 6 months later, she said "yes"!
From constant texts and calls to trips to both ends of the Atlantic, slowly but steadily, the two found friendship, joy, peace and fondness that neither could explain. Despite opposite sleep schedules, music tastes, and dietary preferences, a love for travel, spas, live sports, theater, family, and one another brought the couple together.
In their time spent together in Regent's Park, Rohan fell hard and fast for Mitali - "where something changed", as he says. Though Mitali resisted hard at first, she was drawn to Rohan's calm, intelligent, funny and kind nature.
Later, their time spent at Rohan's home with the family quickly brought everyone else on board! Once Rohan knew, he wasted no time putting a ring on it, proposing at Regent's Park and recreating their first date at one of their favorite pasta spots in London.
