HALDI—"turmeric" in English—an intimate occasion where a turmeric cream is delicately applied on the bride and groom with a flower, signifying the beautiful act of purifying themselves before they wed. It's said to impart a special glow, highlighting the couple's natural beauty in the days to follow. The tradition includes tossing yellow flower petals like marigolds and ranunculus, enveloping the scene in a vivid display of golden saffron and sunlit tones.

The air will be filled with the vibrant cast of tradition and the sweet scent of blooming flowers. As we gather to bless the couple, guests will be invited to partake in this ritual by gently sprinkling fragrant petals, adding a touch of natural beauty and personal warmth to the celebration. Following the ceremony, indulge in brunch ahead of the wedding - but don’t forget to be ready in time for the baraat and bride!

SHAADI - “wedding” in English - starts with the groom's side leading a vibrant drum procession known as the "Baraat" towards the bride and her entourage. The ceremony often begins with the exchange of garlands and then unfolds within the mandap, an ornate structure where the couple sits. Here, the couple performs vows around the holy fire, symbolizing their commitment, unity and eternal love.
